Tate McCurry is an elite spot up shooter that shoots the ball extremely well off the dribble. McCurry is a highly disciplined player on both ends and he possesses “sneaky” athleticism. He finishes well at the rim and in transition and is an excellent leader on and off the court. McCurry possesses a high basketball I.Q and awareness and does a good job of taking what the defense gives him. He moves well without the ball, is not afraid of contact, is scrappy and tough, and does a good job of attacking the rim and penetrating the defense. McCurry is a selfless, team first player who is ultra-competitive on both ends, loves to battle and compete at the highest level, and is a high character player that possesses excellent focus and discipline. He plays with great consistency on both ends, is willing to do whatever it takes to win and make everyone around him better and is capable of adjusting his game to what is needed to make his team better and put them in position to win. McCurry has a great feel for the game and possesses solid playmaking abilities, distributes the ball well, scores the ball well from mid-range, and can easily get to his spots on the floor.
