Javonte Thomas (’24) is a 6-8 F/C prospect that possesses an excellent face-up game and has the ability to knock down shots from mid-range. Thomas in an excellent rim runner, dynamic rim protector, shot disruptor is an excellent shot blocker. Thomas rebounds the ball well, runs the floor well in transition, and is an impactful defender that takes up tons of space. Thomas possesses a solid interior scoring ability, finishes well around the rim, displays soft touch and good footwork around the rim and plays with excellent awareness and anticipation. Thomas does a great job of absorbing contact in the post, distributes the ball well from the post, and does a good job of sealing the defender off to create scoring opportunities. Thomas is a low maintenance player that does not require many touches to impact the game. Thomas is good at cutting, setting screens, crashing the glass, and possesses a great post presence on both ends. Thomas does a great job of creating positioning with his size/strong frame, moves well without the ball and has a excellent feel for the game.
