Courtney McCarthy is an excellent perimeter shooter that finishes well at the rim, in transition and possesses great athleticism. McCarthy is a dynamic on ball perimeter defender that possesses great lateral quickness, an explosive first step, and is an extremely skilled ball handler. He distributes the ball well, run the floor well, possesses good length, which allows him to finish on difficult drives to the rim, and possesses a great feel for the game. McCarthy has great court vision, makes great decisions, is a patient player that allows the game to come to him, and displays great versatility on both ends. He is a tough player that plays well through contact (does not shy away from it), possesses elite scoring ability (averages over 32 PPG), and is a highly disciplined player that is always finding ways to get better and maker those around him better.
