John Kelly III is a versatile player that possesses good size and length and a high basketball I.Q. that displays great athleticism and excellent decision-making skills. Kelly runs the floor well and has the ability to play multiple positions on the offensive side of the ball as well as defend multiple positions on the defensive especially on the wing. He has the ability to step out and defend on the perimeter and in the post. He is a player that can impact the game defensively without scoring a point. Kelly is a long, skilled player that has the passing and ball handling ability of a guard and shoots the ball very well from mid-range. He possesses a high motor and is a excellent shot blocker and rebounder and he does a great job of creating for himself and can get his own shot. Kelly is a very unselfish, team first player that possesses good speed and a excellent first step. He finishes well at the rim and has great court vision. Kelly has good hands and excellent foot work in the post and passes well out of the double team. Kelly is a solid face-up scorer but is also good at playing with his back to the basket.
