2023 The Tour Basketball Statement Session Stand-Outs – Part 1

Dawson Knox (’24) 6-7 Forward – Northshore High School

Dawson Knox did a great job of spacing the floor and knocking down the 3 ball.  Knox defended well on the perimeter and in the post and played with high activity on both ends.

 

Auhmad Hacket (’24) 6-0 PG – Bonnabel High School

Auhmad Hacket did a good job of attacking the rim and knocking down open shots from the outside.  Hacket shot the ball from behind the 3 point line with excellent efficiency and he did a good job of finishing though contact and distributing the ball.  Hacket was extremely disruptive as an on ball defender.

 

Jaylen Peters (’24) 6-6 Guard – Liberty Magnet High School

Jaylen Peters possesses elite athleticism and he did a excellent job of communicating on both ends.  Peters played with great energy and activity, finished well at the rim, and impacted the game with his defense the entire day.

 

Rondae Hill (’24) 6-0 PG – Calvary Baptist Academy

Rondae Hill knocked down the outside shot with great consistency, facilitated/distributed the ball well, and played excellent on ball defense.  Hill was fearless when attacking the rim and did  a great job of finishing plays through contact.

 

Lionel Bell (’24) 6-9 Forward – Booker T. Washington High School (New Orleans, LA)

Lionel Bell played with a motor that never turned off defensively and offensively.  Bell never stopped working on either end and he rebounded and blocked shots consistently the entire day.  Bell was a rim protector that did a great job of running the floor and finished very effectively around the rim.

 

Trey’Dez Green (’24) 6-8 Forward – Zachary High School

Trey’Dez Green possesses ball handles like a guard and elite athleticism.  Green did a good job of running the floor and explosively finishing plays at the rim in transition.  His ability to step out and consistently knock down shots from the perimeter was on full display and he played with great energy and activity the whole day.

 

Tate McCurry (’25) 6-2 Guard – Catholic High School (Baton Rouge, LA)

Take McCurry shot the ball from behind the 3 point line with great efficiency and accuracy the entire day.  McCurry did a excellent job of attacking the rim and playing through contact.  He possesses a high level of toughness, awareness, and has excellent court vision and playmaking ability.

 

Wayne Randall Bashay (’24) 6-5 Guard – New Iberia High School

Wayne Randall Bashay possesses good length and solid ball handles.  Bashay displayed his high level of versatility on both ends by defending multiple positions throughout the day and showcasing his ability to finish athletically in addition to scoring the ball from the outside consistently the entire day.

 

Jordan Comanche (’24) 6-6 G/F – Wossman High School

Jordan Comanche attacked the rim with ease, shot the ball efficiently from the outside, and did a great job of defending on/off the ball.  Comanche played under control at a excellent pace and did his damage within the flow of the game.

 

Chris “CJ” Shiflett (’24) 6-0 PG  – Evangel High School

CJ Shiflett displayed excellent leadership ability and he did a great job of distributing the ball.  Shiflett controlled the pace/tempo of the game and was able to get to his spots on the floor anytime he wanted.  Shiflett did not allow the defender to speed him and he finished well at the rim.
