Drew Timmons (’25) – 6-4 Forward – Hannan – 23 Points 9 Rebounds

Timmons displayed excellent footwork in the post and a very soft touch around the rim.  He did  a great job of passing the ball out of the double team and did a very good job of cleaning up on the boards.  Timmons shot the ball from mid-range and did a superior job of running the floor.

 

Grant Kemp (’22) 6-0 Guard – Hannan – 21 Points 7 Assists

Kemp showed excellent court vision.  He did an outstanding job of penetrating the defense and making plays for his teammates.  Kemp was in attack mode the entire game and did a solid job of attacking the rim and getting to the free throw line.  Kemp played very well through contact and shot the ball well from behind the 3-point line.  Kemp is a dynamic ball handler that plays the game with great awareness on the defensive and offensive end.

 

Troy Dunn (’22) – 6-3 Guard – East Ascension – 21 Points 6 Rebounds 2 Blocks

Dunn showed very good touch from the outside consistently stepping out to knock down shots. Dunn played very well on the defensive end  displaying his versatility by effectively defending on the perimeter as well and down low and making a number of key defensive plays.  Dunn played with a ton of energy and moved well without the ball.  Rebounds the ball very for a guard.

Leland Smith (’22) 6-3 Guard – Karr – 17 Points 10 Assists 5 Rebounds 4 Steals

A true floor general with elite court vision that did a good job of getting his own offense as well as facilitating for others.  Smith displayed his very high basketball I.Q. and decision making ability.  Smith is a elite ball handler that did a very good job of distributing the ball and not turning the ball over.  A dynamic defender that did a good job of pressuring the ball handler.  Excellent communicator on the floor and mid-range scorer.

 

Tristan Brooks (’22) Guard – Karr – 10 Points 6 Rebounds 2 Steals

Brooks played with great versatility on the defensive and offensive end.  Did a great job of defending positions 1-3 and shot the ball very well from the perimeter.  Was able to use his length to make plays on the defensive end.  Showed good court vision and awareness that allowed him to make a number of  plays to impact the game.  Moved well without the ball and did a great job of getting to the open spots on the floor.

 

James Parlow (’22) – 6-0 Guard – Slidell – 17 Points 4 Assists 2 Rebounds

Parlow displayed his excellent ball handles effectively splitting the defense a number of time.  Parlow consistently knocked down open shots from the outside and did a great job of distributing the ball.  Stayed aggressive on both ends.  Played under control and did not make many mistakes.  Played well through contact and did a good job of getting to the rim.  A very unselfish player that did a good job of playing through his team.

Ricks is a dynamic mid-range scorer.  Did a great job of creating contact to get to the free throw line.  A elite distributor/facilitator with a high basketball I.Q.  A good decision maker that made few mistakes.  Played with a high level of awareness on both ends.  Elite court vision.  Was able to get anywhere he wanted on the court.  Controlled the pace of the game never allowing the defense to speed him up.  A clutch performer that made a number of big plays on offense and defense for his team.

 

Arthur Oliver (’22) – 6-0 Guard – East Jefferson – 18 Points 5 Rebounds 5 Steals

Oliver was very disruptive on the defensive end.  Did a great job of pressuring the ball making it hard for the ball handler.  Shot the ball well from the perimeter and rebounded the ball well.  Stayed aggressive on both ends and displayed excellent speed in the open floor.  Excellent body control when going to the rim and did a outstanding job of pushing the tempo.  Did a great job of putting his teammates in position to make plays.

Brooks is a dynamic athlete that finished well around the rim.  Displayed excellent touch from the perimeter.  Was a force on the boards.  A game changer on defense with the ability cause havoc down low by blocking and disrupting shots as well as defending on the perimeter. A elite play maker for his size that did a good job of distributing the ball.  Nice quickness and plays with amazing effort the entire time he is on the floor.

 

Elliot McQuillian (’23) – 6-2 Guard – Port Allen – 18 Points

McQuillian is a quick and crafty guard that did a good job of running the offense as well as creating offensive opportunities for himself.  Has an excellent feel for the game.  Played excellent on ball defense and did a good job of taking what the defense game him on the offensive end.  Excellent shot making ability.  Very disciplined and controlled player.

 

Devin Harris (’23) 6-0 Guard – Holy Cross – 18 Points 5 Steals 5 Assist

Harris displayed excellent quickness with good ball handling skills.  Did a great job of competing the entire game by playing solid on ball and off ball defense.  Pushed the ball well in the open court and did a great job of getting to the rim.  A fundamentally sound player.  Nice first step and did a good job of setting up other players.

Hubert Caliste (’24) 6-5 Forward – St. Augustine – 23 Points 6 Rebounds

A Big that showed his extended range from the 3-point line.  Showed the ability to beat his man off the dribble and finish at the rim.  Moved very well on the offensive end and did a solid job of rebounding the ball.  Did a good job of passing the ball out of the post.  Defended very well on the perimeter and was able to be disruptive down low.  Displayed excellent footwork and soft hands on the block.  Shot the ball very well from the free-throw line.

 

Turner Duncan (’24) 6-3 Guard – St. Augustine 16 Points 4 Rebounds 4 Assists

Turner is a elite athlete that with dynamic finishing ability.  Shot the ball well from the outside and possesses a quick first step.  DynamicA slashing ability that did a great job of getting to the rim.  A excellent shot creator.  Excellent feel for the game.  Displayed nice ball handles and did a good job of finding his teammates.  A game changing perimeter defender.

 

Jacob Wilson (’22) 6-5 Guard – Liberty – 29 Points 5 Assists 8 Rebounds

Wilson has excellent size and length that allows him to showcase his versatility on both ends of the court.  Very comfortable with the ball in his hands to facilitate/distribute and to score the ball.  A very smooth athlete with a nice first step and can effectively get into the paint.  A dynamic shot maker that can scored the ball very well from the perimeter.  Plays at a very good pace.  Never gets in a rush.  Good court vision and ball handles.  Shoots the ball well off the dribble and plays with a high level of anticipation and timing.

Jalen Bolden Motor never stops running.  Never stops moving on the offensive or defensive end of the court.  Very active on both ends.  Runs the floor well and has solid ball handles.  Plays with great position in the post allowing him to rebound the ball well.  Shoots mid-range ball very well and is a dynamic rim runner for his size.   Possesses excellent footwork on the block and plays with great instinct.  Excellent shot blocker for his size.  A dynamic competitor that is never going to give you his all.

 

Brandon Hardy (’23) – 6-4 Guard – Zachary – 12 Points 6 Assists 8 Rebounds

Hardy is an elite all around player.  A versatile defender that can guard on and off the ball and defend positions 1-3.  A elite play maker with great court vision that did a good job of seeing the floor and facilitating for other.  Very active on the boards.  Did a great job of getting to the rim and played played well through contact.

 

Solomon Washington (’22) 6-7 Forward – Carver – 29 Points 9 Blocks 14 Rebounds

Washington is a elite rebounder and defender.  Did a great job of defending all 5 positions on the court.  An elite shot blocker that make disrupted everything at the rim.  Defended very well on the perimeter.  Finished everything that touched his hands at the rim and displayed the ability to step out and knock down the 3-point shot.

 

Willie Anderson (’22) – 6-2 Guard – Carver – 16 Points 5 Rebounds

Anderson is a tough perimeter defender that made big plays on the defensive end.  Excellent athlete with good leaping ability.  Shot the ball well from the outside and did a good job of distributing the ball.  Did a good job of creating separation on the offensive end to get his shot off.  Displayed nice quickness and possesses a good feel for the game.  Plays with a high level of intensity and effort.
